A Co Cavan teacher has praised his students after they came up trumps in a national competition.
Ballyhaise College has claimed top honours at the Macra & Teagasc Ag Colleges Challenge Day.
Seven colleges took part in a full day of practical and skills-based competitions designed to test teamwork, technical ability and problem-solving across a range of land-based disciplines.
After a highly competitive day, the overall title was awarded to the Ballyhaise Agriculture team, who also secured victories in Welding, Tractor Driving, Fencing and the Final Team Challenge.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Fergus O'Rourke said he is "delighted" that all the hard work came to fruition.
He added that it is an extra proud moment as it's only the third time that the college won the overall award since the competition started back in 1993:
