The body of a man in his 20s has been recovered from a Co. Cavan lake last night. Emergency services recovered the body of the missing person from Lough Ramor.
A Garda statement said: "Emergency services were alerted to an incident at Lough Ramor at around 9:40pm and following a search by the local fire brigade, Civil Defence and Meath Rover Rescue, a body was recovered."
The garda focus will now be on preparing a file for the County Coroner, the statement said. An online post from Meath Rescue the rescue service said their "thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends" and "May He Rest in Peace".
