An event to celebrate the history of the O'Daly/Daly family who originated from Lurgahamla will take place next week. Proceedings will kick off on the 11th of November in the Aughamullen Social Care Centre.
On the night a book that will explore the social and family life in Monaghan during the first half of the 20th century, will be launched. During the gathering those in attendance will hear about the Aughnamullen man with three Ulster Football Championship medals and meet his nephews.
It will be a night of historical insights and one that everyone can enjoy.
