Businesses in Clones are celebrating "Fiver Friday" today, with deals across a number of businesses in the town.
The initiative kickstarts the Christmas period in the town, with preparations beginning for the festive period.
Ciaran Morgan, from Lipton's in Clones, said that Fiver Friday is traditionally the busiest day of the year in store, and that it only gets busier every year.
He outlined that a number of businesses recognise the benefits of offering customers great value on products, in order to bring more people into local businesses.
Mr. Morgan explained that local businesses have all bought in, and are more than delighted to take part.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Mr. Morgan, preparations for Fiver Friday begin early in the year.
He said: "We've got all the Fiver Friday boxes stacked very high, there's more upstairs, there's more in the shed.
"We're expecting it to be busy. We actually buy it in all year round for this one day.
"There's stuff there that we would have bought in January or February, and you think that would be perfect for Fiver Friday," he added.
