A local councillor has called for any future developments of playparks in the Ballybay-Clones MD to include sensory areas.
Fine Gael's Richard Truell raised this matter at this week's sitting of the Ballybay-Clones MD.
According to Cllr Truell, it's important to make public amenities such as playparks as inclusive as possible.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Cllr Truell says state of the art facilities such as parks in Ballybay and Monaghan Town could be expanded to cater for this need.
He highlighted the importance of letting children with autism be free to have a better connection with nature, the outdoors, and other children within their own community.
