Residential Tenancies Board figures show over 5-thousand-200 notices of termination were issued in the final three months of 2025, with most due to the landlord's plans to sell the property.
The data also shows the average rent for new tenancies has risen by more than 5% to one-thousand-776 euro - 282 euro more than the average for existing agreements.
Carlow, Cavan, Clare, Limerick, Offaly and Sligo recorded annual increases of more than 10%t for new tenancies' rents.
