Cavan auctioneer warns RPZ changes could drive out small landlords

A Cavan auctioneer says he believe the changes to Rent Pressure Zones in Cavan and Monaghan may drive smaller landlords out of the market.

James Spring of REA Donohoe Spring auctioneers was reacting to the news that all of Ireland will now be part of Rent Pressure Zones.

This means that tenant's rent prices cannot be raised by more than inflation or 2% annually, whichever one is higher.

Speaking to Northern Sound Mr. Spring says, that change may cause people to leave the market.
