A Co Cavan cancer survivor is highlighting the importance of giving back and supporting those who need it most.
Anne Taylor from Munterconnaught is encouraging women to support the annual 'strip and drip' event which will take place this Saturday on the Magheramore Beach in Wicklow.
In 2017 Anne Taylor from Munterconnaught had surgery to remove a cancerous tumour on her throat.
Since the she has been on a mission to remind people that there is life after cancer.
The local woman has taken part in the annual dip before and has described it as the most empowering day of her life because everyone is there for the same reason.
This year's annual strip and dip is taking things back in time and turning the beach into the ultimate 80s party as participants attempt to set a Guinness World Record.
This will be the largest gathering of people dressed in 1980s clothing attempt.
While the day will be filled with fun, laughter and unforgettable moments, Anne says the reason behind it is deeply meaningful.
