A Cavan County Councillor has raised the issue of two Cavan roads he believes should be added to the current list of road networks that are on the local authorities list.
Stiofan Conaty outlined that the L1503 in Cavan, which connects Belturbet to Cootehill sees issues come up time and time again.
It is Cllr Conaty's opinion that it should be classed as a main road when it comes to salting routes.
He says he understands that salting routes are tight when it comes to money and resources, but added that the route can become very dangerous in icy conditions.
Another route that he believes is the L2010, it is not a regional road but it does carry a school bus and can effectively act as a main road.
Speaking to Northern Sound Cllr Conaty explained the danger he see with the L1503.
