Cavan councillor urges HSE to offer addiction supports for young vapers

This week it was confirmed that a Bill to ban single-use vapes has passed all stages of the Oireachtas.

A Co Cavan councillor has highlighted the need for young people who are addicted to flavoured vapes to access the correct help.
Cllr Brendan Fay has been a long-standing advocate for banning single use vapes throughout the island of Ireland.
This week it was confirmed that a Bill to ban single-use vapes has passed all stages of the Oireachtas.

It means flavoured vapes will be banned, and vapes will be limited to tobacco options only.
The sale of nicotine consumption products, like snus pouches, will also be prohibited to under-18s.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Cllr Fay said many young people have become reliant on flavoured vapes, therefore it's important for the HSE and other services to offer the correct help:
