Over 12,900 pupils across the Northern Sound region are set to benefit from the Free Schoolbooks Scheme in the upcoming academic year.
Budget 2025 announced the initiative would also be rolled out to post-primary students.
It comes as a recent Barnardos survey revealed more than half of parents are worried about the increasing back to school costs.
