A tender has been published for the implementation of a Refugee Resettlement Project in Cavan.
The estimated value of the project is estimated to be just over €260,000. The tender calls for community-based organisations to work as a programme implementor which will support the delivery of a resettlement programme for programme refugees in County Cavan. Programme refugees are those recognised by the UNHCR and who would have been invited to Ireland under the Irish Refugee Protection Programme. The main objective of this initiative is to support refugees who will be resettled in County Cavan to integrate into the community. According to tender documents, the anticipated size of the group is 124 people. Applicant organisations must have experience working in partnership with local service providers in the provision of services to vulnerable communities. The contract is scheduled to begin in September of this year, with a budget of €260,444. It will be for a period of 18 months with the option to extend for another 12 months.
