Cavan student to attend Dáil na nÓg

A Cavan Secondary School student will be taking part in a national youth parliament tomorrow.

14 year old Joe Quinn from St Patrick's College in Cavan Town and is one of a number of local students who will travel to Leinster House tomorrow to attend Dáil na nÓg.

The Ballyhaise school student is Secretary of Cavan Comhairle na nÓg.

The national youth parliament where young people discuss and vote on important issues, with this year focusing on education.

Young delegates from around the country will gather to discuss topical issues such as learning styles, continuous assessment and the Irish language.

Speaking to Northern Sound, Joe outlined the importance of supporting different ways of learning.
