A regular visitor to Co Cavan has been recounting his positive experience with Cavan General Hospital during a recent visit.
Cyril Jones is living in the UK but has spent a lot of time in Cavan over the last number of years.
On his most recent visit, Cyril's son in law Ben started experiencing headaches, which got progressively worse, to the point he was struggling to see.

He visited the pharmacist who referred him to a GP, the GP organised an ambulance straight away to take Ben to A&E, as there was concern he was experiencing a stroke.
Cyril was thankful to report that Ben was suffering from a severe viral and not a stroke.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show this morning, Cyril explained the experience with the healthcare system.
