A local councillor says that nobody will be more effected by toll increases, than the people living in east Co. Cavan.
Toll prices are going up again from the start of next year.
Cllr Shane P O'Reilly criticised the decision, saying that Transport Infrastructure Ireland need to revisit the decision immediately.
He said that the decision is ill-thought out, ill-conceived, and totally improper.
From the 1st of January, car drivers will see 10 cent added to the cost of using the M50, M3 and M4.
The highest increase will be added to the toll on the southbound side of the Dublin Port Tunnel, where motorists will pay an addtional euro during peak morning hours.
Speaking to Northern Sound today, Cllr. O'Reilly said he was astonished that the price increases were considered.
He said: "There is nobody who is going to be more impacted than the people living in east Cavan, north Meath.
"I think TII need to revisit this immediately. It's ill-thought out, ill-conceived, and it is totally improper," he added.
