A Clones farmer has been re-elected as the chairperson of Monaghan IFA.
Local farmer, Tom Treanor, was re-elected at last night's AGM.
The AGM took place at the Four Season's Hotel in Monaghan, with IFA President Francie Gorman in attendance.
Mr. Treanor outlined the "challenging" year ahead for farmers in the local area.
Speaking to Northern Sound, he said that the episode with Bord Bia was an area of conversation at the AGM.
He said that the IFA hope to get an outcome from that issue in the near future.
Mr. Treanor said: "The president was in attendance. He had a lot of food for thought when he was heading back down the road.
"One of the topical subjects was the episode with Bord Bia. That's an area we hope to get ironed out.
"Long term, we have issues with the cost of doing business. Prices have gone up, and availability, its certainly going to be a challenge for us," he added.
