Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board has been granted permission for the development of a specialist training facility.
The application submitted to Cavan County Council included proposals for the change of use of the existing boiler house "Block K" to a specialist training facility.
It includes the incorporation of general purpose classrooms, technology and engineering rooms, motor workshop, ancillary and engineering rooms, motor workshop, ancillary support spaces and all associated site works at the CMETB FET Campus on the Dublin Road, Cavan. Co. Cavan.
Proposed works include the repurposing and reconfiguring of existing boiler house to specialist training facility.
Also includes, revised openings and elevational changes, internal & external demolition works.
Also included is the provision of new first and second floors, new passenger lift and stairs, covered outdoor construction space and all associated site works.
Permission was granted with six conditions attached.
