A county Cavan Senator is appealing to people to be aware of older and vulnerable people at risk of lonliness or isolation.
Sarah O'Reilly is noting huge hikes in fuel, energy and food costs as a reason to be more vigilant of vulnerable people in society.
She recently met with members of ALONE, and added that it is a wonderful resource for people.

She would urge people across Cavan and Monaghan to make contact with the group and avail of vital back up it offers.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Senator O'Reilly outlined what she has heard from local people.
