A local councillor has raised concerns about speeding in housing estates in Castleblayney.
A recent speed survey identified Thorndale and Rosevale housing estates, particularly due to the high volume of traffic and the young children in the estate.
This was raised by Cathaoirleach of the Carrickmacross - Castleblayeny MD Paul Gibbons at the most recent meeting of the municipal district.
He cited particular concern at the moment as children are most likely to be outdoors as the weather improves.
In response, the MD executive noted that both estates were included in a funding application, unfortunately neither scheme received funding.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Cllr Gibbons explained his concerns in the issue.
