Conditional planning permission has been granted for a major development at a GAA club in Monaghan.
Carrickmacross Emmets GFC submitted an application in December.
The proposed works consist of Altering and regrading/recontouring the existing site contours/topography to facilitate the development of additional sports facilities.
It also includes the construction of 2 no. new GAA pitches 145mx90m, construction of 1 no. new juvenile training pitch 85mx63m and construction of 1 no. new juvenile training pitch/overflow car park 70mx52m.
As well as the construction of 1 no. new all-weather pitch 90mx45m, extension of existing car park on site to provide additional car parking, bus parking and accessible parking spaces to service the development.
The proposal includes the erection of all associated goalposts, ballstops, dug outs, flood lighting, forming raised grass bank to act as spectator viewing area, altering location of part of existing walking track on site, together with all associated site development works.
Conditional permission was granted for the development, subject to nine conditions.
