The lack of a bus service to Killinkere National School and Bailieboro Community School has been resolved.
Local TD Niamh Smyth says she has been advised that a contractor has been appointed. Up to 50 children were set not to have a seat on the local bus if no operator could be found for the route.
The Fianna Fail TD said the news of a contractor will ensure that children locally will get the service they deserve and she now hopes this will ease the immense pressure that parents who contacted her felt, since they received this news in recent days.
Minister Smyth says she has contacted the school principal to advise them of this good news.
