The Cootehill Road in Monaghan has reopened following a fatal collision yesterday afternoon.
A cyclist in her 70s died following the collision with a car at Tullyard close to Monaghan Town at twenty past 1 yesterday afternoon.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was taken to Monaghan Hospital where a post mortem will take place.

Gardaí are appealing to any road users or pedestrians who may have camera footage, and who were travelling on Cootehill Road between 12.30pm and 1.30pm, to make this footage available to gardaí.
