A local councillor is calling for traffic calming measures on two roads leading into Kilnaleck.
Cllr Noel Connell raised the issue at the most recent sitting of the Ballyjamesduff Municipal District meeting.
He called for a pedestrian crossing on the Ballinagh Rd and the Crosserlough Rd in Kilnaleck.
He said the issue was raised to him by a number of local concerned residents. The Sinn Fein Councillor called on Cavan County to address this important safety issue before someone is hurt or even worse killed while crossing the road.
Cllr Connell says he is concerned over this issue and wants to see something done sooner rather than later.
He said motorists need to be aware and slow down before someone is hurt or worse.
