The Credit Union in Cavan and Monaghan want to advise local farmers that their ethos of 'being there for their members' includes now, in the aftermath of storm Éowyn.
The financial institution reminds people they have loans available to farm families who need to carry out repairs to property damaged in the storm. You don't have to be a member of a credit union to avail of the community-led loans which people can access online, over the phone or in person.
Cavan Credit Union, CEO Eimear Tobin, said they know that farmers need to repair damage and carry out work like replace fencing. Some may want to buy a generator or invest in their business and increase cashflow following the disruption from storm Éowyn and the manager wants farmers to know Credit Union staff "fully understand" (listen below):
