Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark has been celebrating the achievements of tourism businesses.
11 businesses completed the 2026 Tourism Business Sustainability Training Programme at Lough Erne, a previous graduate of the programme.
The programme, which is a first of its kind in Ireland, equips businesses with the knowledge and tools needed to strengthen environmental practices, enhance community impact, and contribute to a more sustainable tourism offer across the region.
Businesses completing the 2026 programme will now join the Cuilcagh Lakelands Geopark Regenerative Tourism Business Network.
Speaking at the event, Councillor John Paul Feeley, Chair of the Geopark Committee, said: "I commend each business for its dedication to learning and its clear commitment to environmental stewardship. By joining this network, you are becoming part of a group that is already recognised as a leader in sustainable and regenerative tourism. Your contribution will strengthen that leadership even further. Together, you will play a vital role in shaping a tourism sector that supports thriving businesses, resilient communities, and a healthy landscape for generations to come."
