Inland Fisheries Ireland say they are pursuing a definite line of enquiry following a fisheries offence in Co Cavan.
Inland Fisheries Ireland officers on patrol in Co. Cavan in July of this year intercepted a man in possession of 35 coarse fish.
IFI seized the fish, as well as a dinghy, an electric engine, lights and fishing equipment allegedly used in a fisheries offence.
Inland Fisheries Ireland urge people to report illegal fishing activity, habitat destruction, water pollution, fish kills or issues of concern in their local rivers/lakes to its confidential 24/7 number, 0818 34 74 24.
They say in relation to this offence they are now following a definite line of inquiry in relation to the seizure that occurred at Killybandrick Lough in Cavan.
