A disqualified driver was detected by Monaghan Road Policing Unit after they stopped a motorist using a mobile phone while driving near Carrickmacross.
The driver has no insurance or tax on the vehicle while travelling on the N2 and it was taken off the road.
A road side drug test was then carried out and the driver tested positive for cocaine.

He was arrested and charged for the offences and will appear in court at a later date.
