Locals living on the N54 and A3 between Cavan and Clones feel abandoned by the Gardaí and the PSNI according to a Monaghan councillor.
It comes following an alleged incident involving multiple cars performing dangerous manoeuvres on the main road on Saturday last.
Locals in the area reported cars doing donuts and drifts in an area known as Rabbits Island, just over the border in Fermanagh.

Clones Councillor, Pat Treanor, says the Gardaí and PSNI need to increase patrols in the area to deter the activity.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show, he says previous operations between the two bodies have been successful.
