The driver involved in a hit-and-run-incident in Ballyjamesduff on Sunday has been identified.
A pedestrian suffered a foot injury when a red car travelling from Anne Street on to the Oldcastle Road just before 7:30pm on the day in question, struck them. The motorist failed to stop and Gardaí issued an appeal for witnesses and footage shortly afterwards.
Gardaí has since provided an update when they said the driver has since been identified and their investigations are progressing accordingly. Officers also thanked the public for their assistance.
