A Co Cavan man has organised an event this weekend in honour of St Bridget.
Gearoid Teevan of Drummany Spirit will host an Imbolc Day on Sunday at Bridget's Thatched Cottage.
The spiritual site is situated at Drummany Rahan, Milltown, Cavan.
The day will start off with the lighting of the flame/fire in Bridgets Thatched Cottage.
This will be lit with the St Bridgets Flame from Kildare which has been kept burning for 25 years in Birr Castle.
Bridgets Thatched Cottage is over 300 years and was restored at Drummany Spirit.
Speaking on today's Joe Finnegan Show, Gearoid said it's important to remember St Bridget and the skills that she had.
