A local councillor has welcomed the news that Dun a Ri Forest Park has reopened.
Coillte, the national semi-state forestry company had closed the Kingscourt forest following the aftermath of Storm Éowyn like so many other forests across the country.
The Kingscourt amenity was closed due to public safety measures that were put in place following the extensive damage caused by the historic storm. As we enjoy a warm weather spell, the re- opening of the park will be welcome news to many.
Cllr Clifford Kelly says it's great to see the facility back open for people from near and far to enjoy. Cllr Kelly says the area is very lucky to have one of the finest forest parks in the country.
