Local TD, Niamh Smyth has welcomed the large scale Sports Infrastructure Fund which was announced for the Cavan Regional Sports Campus at Kingspan Breffni. An allocation of €19 million was announced today by Sports Minister Thomas Byrne TD for phase 1 of the Cavan Regional Sports Complex. This complex will provide covered sports arena with playing pitch, spectator seating, and other ancillary accommodation. The Sports Centre Building will have changing facilities, multi-purpose rooms, reception and ancillary accommodation.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Deputy Smyth praised of of those involved at local level who worked together to put an extremely comprehensive together in order to bring this development to the next stage:
