€32,500 for Cavan / Monaghan biodiversity projects

Tidy Towns Associations in Bawnboy, Shercock, Monaghan Town, Castleblayney and Doohamlet will each receive funding.

Cavan and Monaghan groups are to receive €32,500 for climate action and biodiversity projects.

Tidy Towns Associations in Bawnboy and Shercock in County Cavan and Monaghan Town, Castleblayney and Doohamlet in County Monaghan will each receive funding of between €5,000 and €7,500. St. Mogue's College in Bawnboy has been granted €5000 for their sustainability and biodiversity project.

The schemes are administered by the Community Foundation Ireland. Brendan Smith, Cavan-Monaghan TD, congratulated the committees and school on their successful applications and the work they do for local biodiversity (listen below):
