Emergency callouts for local fire crews on the rise

The Monaghan Fire and Civil Protection Service has attended 80 incidents in the first three months of 2024. Road traffic collisions and monitoring company alarms were the dominant type of callouts. This represents an increase of 11% from 2023. According to the Monaghan Fire and Civil Protection Service, this reflects the weather pattern of wind and rain for the period.
