Fog warning in place across Cavan and Monaghan

A status yellow fog warning will remain in place across Cavan and Monaghan until 11 o'clock this morning. A total of 14 counties including the Northern Sound region are under the alert. Meanwhile, counties Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wicklow, Leitrim and Roscommon are also under the warning. Met Éireann says dense fog is making for difficult or dangerous driving conditions.
