The ground floor of the former Bank of Ireland building in Clones will be repurposed into a Data Value Hub (DVH).
Cllr Pat Treanor welcomed the development after it was confirmed that the PEACEPLUS application was approved.
This cross border project is being progressed by Monaghan County Council and Enterprising Monaghan.
According to Cllr Treanor, the project will have two key elements.
This will be the creation of a mini-digital hub along with the provision of services including data literacy workshops, analytics masterclasses, digital transformation consulting for SMEs, networking events to foster local and cross-border business connections, access to data processing and cloud computing resources.
Cllr Treanor believes that the funding allocation of €770,354 for this project will help put Clones back on the map:
