Minister Heather Humphreys has announced over €30,000 to support the Farney Community Development Group in Carrickmacross.
The funding is set to support essential maintenance works at the Carrickmacross Workhouse.
It's part of a €2.3 million investment announced by Minister Humphreys nationwide. Announcing the funding, Minister Humphreys said she is delighted to announce this funding for Social Enterprises, which are the backbone of our communities.
The local Minister added that she was pleased to support the application from Farney Community Development Group saying that this is a great organisation that will use the funding to carry out essential maintenance on the roof of the Carrickmacross Workhouse. Kevin Gartlan one of the managers of the workhouse says its welcomes news.
