A fundraiser in memory of a local baby, who passed away in 1987, will be held in Cootehill this Saturday.
Baby Cecil Drury died just short of his first birthday, after battling with a genetic condition.
He spent his entire life in hospital, born in Cavan and then moved to Crumlin.
The Drury family are hosting a car boot sale in the Cootehill Livestock Mart to give back something due to the "amazing" treatment they got during Cecil's time in hospital.
The fundraiser is taking place from 9am to 5pm on Saturday and all money raised will go towards the Children's Health Foundation.
Cecil's sister Natasha spoke to Northern Sound, and said that this has also given a space to talk about loss and grief.
"We've never organised an event like this before and it's actually overwhelming kind of emotional that people have been so kind, even people that have gone through something similar themselves like hearing people's stories and it's just lovely to give people an opportunity to talk about their loved ones as well. So, it's just a shout out everyone thank you so much for support in every way"
"It can be a very isolating thing and obviously grief is very isolating but it's it's really giving people opportunity to share with people, share their stories with people that really understand what it's like. So it's been eye-opening definitely."
