A Co Monaghan councillor has raised his concerns in relation to further anti-social behaviour in the Ballybay area. During this week's sitting of the Ballybay-Clones MD, it was revealed that deliberate damage was caused to summer seats in the local park area. This follows public toilets at the Town Park which were seriously vandalised a number of months ago, amongst other incidents since then.
While additional beat patrols carried out by Gardai were put in place on the weekends in and around certain locations to combat this activity, Cllr Sean Gilliland says further reports of vandalism has left a "bad taste" in the mouths of everyone regarding this situation. Cllr Gilliland described the investment which has went into the Town Park of Ballybay as "second to none" and stressed that he is "sick and tired of such thuggery."
