The Garda Representative Association says an attack on two Gardaí in Dublin is a 'stark reminder' of the dangers their members face on a daily basis.
One of the injured has received hospital treatment after being stabbed repeatedly in the arm with a broken bottle, yesterday afternoon.
A man in his 20's has been charged in connection with an investigation into the incident, and is due before Cloverhill District Court in Dublin on Tuesday, March 11th.

The GRA President says he wishes their colleague a speedy recovery after being hospitalised following 'an extremely difficult situation' in Dublin's Abbey Street yesterday lunchtime.
Another member also received injuries in the attack and Mark O'Meara says the Association's thoughts are with them both, and with their families.
He's praised his colleagues on their bravery and actions - and stresses there's never a reason or excuse for attacks and assaults on Gardaí - adding that the incident is a stark reminder of the dangers facing their members on a daily basis.
