A Co Monaghan member of An Garda Síochána is reminding the public about the level of scams that are in operation.
Sgt Stephen McCabe from Clones Garda Station says it's not just on your computer or your phone that dangers exist.
He says cold calling to people's homes is something that people need to be aware of.

Sgt McCabe says the majority of the people targeted in this way are middle aged and elderly people.
A presentation on 'Online Fraud 'by members of An Garda Síochána, will be held at Clones Courthouse, today from 4-8pm.
Sgt McCabe will be on hand to present information surrounding online scams and the dangers.

The Clones based sergeant says it's about making people aware of the scams that are out there and make people informed.
