Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision which claimed the life of Smithboro man Adrian Keenan.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the single-vehicle road crash at Inishammon, Smithboro, last night.
The collision, on the R187 between Monaghan and Roslea, occurred at approximately 7.30pm.
Local man Adrian Keenan who is aged in his 30s died at the scene.
The road remains closed pending technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.
Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the R187 at Inishammon, Co. Monaghan, on Wednesday 28th January 2026 between 7.15pm and 8.15pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
