Right now, it's difficult times for many families, workers and businesses.
These were the sentiments expressed by Senator Robbie Gallagher who was
speaking in the Oireachtas this week over plans to increase toll charges and
the subsequent impacct.
He said the Government intervened in the cost of public services, therefore,
it must and should do the same with regard to toll increase plans in
January.

Senator Gallagher highlighted the additional financial burden that would be
placed on people traveling to work.
He added that some motorists will chose alternative routes so that can avoid
paying toll charges altogether.
