Cavan has one of the highest figures of sunbed businesses per capita in the country.
The data was revealed in a Sunday Independent article, which listed the Midlands as the region in Ireland with the most sunbed businesses.
The statistics show that there is a per capita rate of 1.1 of sunbed businesses per every 10,000 people in Cavan. Specialist in Public Health Medicine in the HSE, Dr. Breeda Neville says there is no safe way to use a sunbed:
