A local councillor has welcomed upgrade works on the Ballyalbany Bridge active travel scheme in Monaghan Town.
Contractor Jons Civils commenced works back in January.
The project consists of 16m bridge along with approach footways and associated civil works.
The contractor is currently installing pile foundations and existing bridge repairs.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Cllr Raymond said he was "delighted" with the progress made in relation to the scheme.
He said the pedestrian bridge will be there in the next four to eight weeks as well as the horse shoe bridge which he welcomes as it will provides great pedestrian and cyclist safety.
