600 homes and businesses in the Arvagh area can now avail of high speed broadband. National Broadband Ireland announced the expansion under the National Broadband Plan this week. The rollout adds coverage to the villages of Arvagh, Cooratober and Lisanny as well as surrounding townlands.
17,000 homes in Cavan are included in the State's Intervention Area, which will see NBI deliver minimum speeds of 500 megabits per second to homes, businesses, farms, and schools. Currently 9,000 houses and business can currently avail of high speed broadband, including Cootehill, Cavan Town, Kilnaleck, and in the Clones deployment area.
