IDA bosses are in talks to fill a purpose built Advanced Technology Building in Monaghan Town.
The building has been vacant since it was built in 2021.
Senator Robbie Gallagher has welcomed the latest news surrounding the Advanced Technology Building at Monaghan Business & Technology at Knockaconny.
The local senator believes a company is actively seeking the large premise which will create jobs in Monaghan town.
That potential breakthrough was delivered by Minister of State Hildegarde Naughton during an exchange with Senator Gallagher in the Seanad.
The Galway West TD revealed discussions with a leading, but as of yet unnamed employer, were progressing in a move that could provide the springboard for a substantial jobs announcement.
Senator Gallagher said this will be of huge benefit to the local economy of Monaghan.
