Homes and families in The Crescent, Castleblayney will benefit from a safer, more reliable water supply as Uisce Éireann completes essential upgrade works.
The project replaced ageing backyard water mains, helping to improve water quality and reduce leakage in the area.
The works involved the decommissioning of backyard service connections in The Crescent Estate as well as the delivery of 540 metres of new water mains constructed along the public road.
These works in Castleblayney will be carried out by Farrans Construction on behalf of Uisce Éireann and are expected to be completed by Spring 2027.
Uisce Éireann's Patricia Lowry said that these mains upgrades will provide real, tangible benefits for homes and businesses in the area.
Patricia told Northern Sound: "These works will have a significant impact for our customers in Castleblayney.
"The upgraded mains and new connections will provide an improved quality of drinking water for homes and businesses, while increasing the reliability of our supply and helping to drive down rates of leakage on the local network.
"This project reflects Uisce Éireann's commitment to provide safe, sustainable water services that support thriving communities."
