The number of household homeless presentations in Co. Monaghan increased between 2024 and 2025.
Figures from Monaghan County Council have revealed that in 2024, 185 households presented as homeless. This rose to 205 in 2025.
According to the council, 196 adults were in the presenting households in 2024, with 233 adults in 2025.

Meanwhile, last year 120 children were in the presenting households, an increase from 91 in 2024.
