Increase in short term lettings across the region

There were 500 short term lettings across the Northern Sound region in October 2025.

That's increased from 380 in October 2022.

Figures released by the Minister for Enterprise, Peter Burke, highlighted regulatory controls for the short term letting sector.

In Co. Cavan there was 330 STLs in October 2025, up from 260 in October 2022.

In Co. Monaghan, there was 170 STLs last October, up from 120 in 2022.
